Agility Camp

PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 21 July 2008

Coach Jamie Hale , author of  "Knowledge and Nonsense - The science of Nutrition and Exercise" and renowned strength and conditioning coach will be coming to Louisville on Saturday September 27th to teach an agility camp.

Coach Hale has worked with MMA athletes, footballs players, bodybuilders, has written numerous books and has been involved in the fitness industry for over 15 years. Jamie has been a competitive athlete since the age of 10.

This camp is for anyone, regardless of age or skill level. Whether you are play a sport or not, you need to be agile. If you ever fallen and got banged up you need to work on your tumbling skills. If you've ever slipped on ice and weren't able to recover you need to work on your agilty skills!

Here's some of what we will be covering:

  • tumbling skills - learn how to fall and roll, not crash and burn
  • jump rope - for strong calves, a strong heart and fast feet
  • agility ladder - for lightening fast footwork
  • lateral movement skills - most people can only move forward/ backward. If you play tennis, or any other sport lateral movement is just, and in some cases, more important.
  • cutting - change direction and speed instantaneously, learn to stop on a dime
  • hip mobility
